Windsor, ON: ENWIN teams have continued working throughout the day and night for the entirety of the weekend.

As previously reported, due to last week’s inclement weather approximately 25,000 customers were affected by large area outages.  The majority of these outages were restored by Friday afternoon.

ENWIN teams shifted focus to individual home outages and reports of downed wires.  Canvas teams investigated approximately 800 of these reports, where afterwards it was determined that approximately 450 repairs were required from ENWIN.

We are proud to say that the majority of these repairs have been completed and would like to thank our customers for their cooperation as their assistance contributed greatly to the success of our teams.

If residents are still without power and they have not been in contact with ENWIN, we recommend that they call our customer service line at 519-255-2727

It should be noted that Environment Canada has issued another freezing rain and high wind warning for the area, which is estimated to commence today in the afternoon and into the evening.  Despite the outages which occurred due to last week’s storm, customers can rest assured that ENWIN’s teams are prepared and ready for the oncoming weather.
