Windsor, ON: Every year ENWIN employees are encouraged to contribute to grass roots initiatives, whereby they can raise funds to one of the many deserving charitable organizations within Windsor and Essex County.  As part of ENWIN’s commitment, the organization will match up to $1000 of the funds raised.

Rosana Kemsley from Human Resources and Stuart Forsyth from Corporate Accounting took the lead in developing a campaign to raise money for Hiatus House, a shelter for women and children suffering from domestic violence.

By developing an internal campaign that focused on online donations, they were able to raise $1,590 and with ENWIN’s contribution a total of $2,590 was donated to great cause.

“I am regularly reminded of the compassion among the people of ENWIN,” said Kemsley. “They truly lead by example by taking care of one another and supporting those who need it most. I am proud and thankful to be part of this great team!”

This donation will further help Hiatus House with their mission of breaking the cycle of domestic violence and help more women and children in the Windsor area.

“One of the reasons I joined ENWIN was the reputation the company has in the community for caring,” said Forsyth. “The success of this grass roots initiative shows that even in these unusual times we display compassion to those in difficult circumstances in our community.”
