Windsor ON: ENWIN wants customers to know they may now qualify for assistance under Ontario COVID-19 Emergency Assistance Programs for Small Business (CEAP-SB) and Residential (CEAP) customers.

“On January 14, 2021, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) changed the eligibility requirements for these programs, so that more customers could receive support,” said Robert Spagnuolo, Director of Customer Service at ENWIN. “We just want to make sure anyone who is behind on their bills is aware that they may now qualify, and that limits have increased.”

There are two programs currently available to electricity customers in Ontario:

  • CEAP is a one time, on-bill credit for eligible residential electricity and natural gas customers to help them catch up on their energy bills and resume regular payments.  Eligible applicants can receive a credit in the amount of their overdue electric balance up to a maximum of $750.
  • CEAP-SB provides a one time, on-bill credit for eligible small businesses and registered charities, to help them catch up on their energy bills and resume regular payments.  Eligible applicants can receive a credit in the amount of their overdue electric balance up to a maximum of $1,500.

“We are actively encouraging our small businesses, charitable organizations and residential customers who need help to visit our website, and fill out an application form,” said Spagnuolo. “We are here to help. These programs are only available while funds last, so customers should act now.”
