Upgrading to Ensure Quality Service

Upgrading our infrastructure is an important part of how ENWIN serves its customers. Upgrades will continue so that we can continue to provide safe, reliable electricity distribution to our customers across Windsor.

Pole Inspection Program

As part of our continuing commitment to the safe, reliable delivery of electricity, ENWIN invests annually in an ongoing Pole Inspection Program. Poles are inspected and assessed for strength, durability and longevity. Any potential safety risks are addressed as they are encountered. Pole inspectors are working in the field throughout the year to complete inspections.

Tree Trimming

One in three power outages in Windsor is caused by tree branches that are too close to electrical equipment. In a strong wind, these branches can bring down lines or damage transformers, causing outages, fires and danger to the community. When you see ENWIN and contracted crews out trimming trees in the public right of way, you'll know we're putting your safety first.

Tree Trimming Locations:

November 2016 through May 2017 in Areas "B1" and "B2".

B2: East of Dougall Avenue/ Howard Avenue beyond Cousineau Road to Riberdy Road, North of Highway 401 to the Canadian Pacific Rail Line -"In-Progress"
