Keep The Heat
Winter Charitable Donation Program
EnWin is a proud sponsor of "Keep The Heat", an energy assistance program whose mandate is to provide energy assistance to low-income families, the disabled, the terminally ill, and the elderly, for the period of November 1st through March 31st. This program is administered by Housing Information Services and The Unemployed Help Centre.
The "Keep The Heat" program is delivered by a host of community-based agencies serving residents of the Windsor and Essex County, and functions within a framework that is efficient and accountable to the community it supports and those who fund it.
Services
- Assistance "Keep The Heat" will provide direct payment to the energy supplier(s).
- Education "Keep The Heat", together with partners in the community (utilities) will work together to educate households to use home heating energy efficiently and safely.
Program Overview
- The Customer receives a disconnection notification from EnWin.
- The Customer contacts a local Social Service Agency.
- The Social Service Agency completes "Utility Account Hold Request" form.
- The "Utility Account Hold Request" form comes to "Keep The Heat" and EnWin.
- "Keep The Heat" authorizes funds for payment within 24 working hours upon receipt of "Utility Account Hold Request" form.
