Corporate Donations Policy

Our Vision

To raise the level of awareness for EnWin as being a responsible member of the Community that provisions not only essential services, but impacts the quality of life for the Community that it serves.

Our Goal

To enhance EnWin's profile in the Community as an example of Good Corporate Citizenship through focused programs in support of key value areas.

Our Focus

EnWin and its staff recognizes the importance of making a contribution to the City of Windsor, as being an integral part of our Corporate responsibility. Our contribution to the Community is founded on four key areas:

Local Health · Community Welfare · Environment ·
Youth Development

Boundaries of Support

EnWin restricts our local community support to projects within the boundaries of the City Windsor, for which the citizens of Windsor will benefit collectively, no regional programs will be considered.

Sponsorship Eligibility

  • EnWin prefers to make donations to organizations with formal charitable status.
  • EnWin will only consider support of non-charitable organizations when the end-use of our funds is fully known.
  • EnWin aims to ensure long lasting beneficial effects as a result of its contributions to the community rather than short-term one-off donations.
  • EnWin prefers to consider the nomination of a small number of beneficiaries with whom a relationship can be built over time rather than multiple charities or causes.
  • EnWin believes in the value of supporting the community through "donating" the dedicated time of individual employees during business hours or outside, as well as giving access to the use of company equipment, where appropriate.
  • The decision to support or donate to a charity should not serve exclusive personal interests.
  • No contribution to a single Organization can be in excess of $2,500 per calendar year.

Non-Eligibility

EnWin does NOT fund the following kinds of requests:

  • Individual Pursuits
  • Debt reduction campaigns
  • Political parties or candidates
  • Religious organizations

The final deadline for requests is September 30th, as EnWin finalizes its sponsorship budget early in the 4th quarter for the next calendar year.
