10 things you can do to save 10%
- Join the peaksaver program & get a new programmable thermostat
- Turn up your thermostat by 1 or 2 degrees; you'll hardly notice a difference
- Switch from incandescent lighting to compact fluorescent bulbs
- Get rid of your old energy guzzling refrigerator with the Refrigerator Roundup
- Use a clothesline
- Install a low flow showerhead
- Close vents and doors to rooms not in use
- Wash only full loads in your clothes washer and dishwashers
- Give all your appliances the "afternoon off" between Noon and 7:00 p.m
- Use major appliances early in the day, or later at night
