ENWIN Superhero Volunteers at Play!

Monday, Sep. 11, 2017

Windsor ON: Powered by partnership, 17 ENWIN Superhero volunteers joined forces with John McGivney Center (JMCC) staff for a Superhero Fun Day - a celebration of the opening of the Play McGivney accessible playground, on Sept 9, 2017.

The family event was free of charge, and drew a large steady crowd, starting at 10 a.m. with food, entertainment, activities and prizes.

ENWIN's Superhero volunteers helped by supervising the playground, serving up cotton candy, directing parking, painting children's faces to resemble their favorite superheroes, and providing very popular bucket truck rides in our supercool utility trucks.

"We are so grateful for the partnership of our ENWIN Superheroes!" said Danielle Mulvey, Senior Manager of Communications & Community Affairs at John McGivney Center.

"Your enthusiasm, positivity and community spirit was truly amazing - no matter the task! Thank you so much!"

The highlight of this year's event was Play McGivney, a new, accessible playground that opened to the public on September 5.

Through a community support partnership with JMCC, ENWIN helped to build the Balance Trax playground feature, a.k.a the ENWIN Track, a popular piece of equipment that allows children fine tune their gross motor skills and balance while having fun.

"We are very proud of all our employees who continue to volunteer their time and energy to helping out in our community," commented ENWIN President and CEO, Helga Reidel. "They are truly Powerful Partners, whose compassion, support and enthusiasm makes a big difference!"
